Everyday Copper Gorget
Everyday Copper Gorget
▲ ABOUT ▲
Gorgets have been made for centuries by southeastern and mound building tribes. The type of gorget someone wore could tell you a lot about them. Most were commonly made out of gourds. Ones made from shell or copper were reserved for the most influential tribal members. Traditional gorgets would be fairly large and would cover the throat. These gorgets necklaces are similar to traditional pieces but on a smaller scale that is lighter and easy to wear everyday.
