Dollar Store Christmas Elves Craft

Dollar Store Elf Craft | MeanRightHook.com

I was at the dollar store a few weeks ago and spotted these adorable elves. They we're just too cute to pass up. I wanted to get a few for my friend's kids and Raven. Then at Target in the Dollar Spot I found the perfect bags to put them in to keep them safe on their travels to their new homes.

I used my Cricut to cut out the names and the bag design in HTV (heat transfer vinyl). I love how they came out! And Raven can't go anywhere with our her new elf friend.

Busy Busy Design Week

I haven't been able to craft much this week. I've been busy freelancing for the great folks over at Collage.com. I was given the opportunity to design some really cool patterns for their pattern builder.

While playing around with some of my patterns I uploaded one of my designs from my Etsy shop to see how they would look together. And if I do say so myself it's adorable! This would also make a cute shower curtain, which they also make. I think I could play around with patterns, color schemes and designs all night.

It's a boy!

I just got the text that my friend had her baby and it's a boy! I had a feeling it would be. I'm so happy for them. I can't wait to meet the little guy!

I'm going to visit them later today and I wanted to make him something special but I wasn't sure what. They haven't reviled his name yet, so I can't go monogramming everything. I decided to make him a set of monthly milestone stickers. My friend had a super cute Calvin and Hobbes mural painted in his nursery so I knew exactly what theme they should be.

I hope she loves them! They were so much fun to make and they didn't take much time at all.

If you'd like to make your own, you can download the set for free! All you need is a printer and printable shipping labels. I used Avery® White Full-Sheet Labels for Inkjet Printers.

Here's how you do it:

  1. Open the PDF
  2. Print them on your shipping labels (make sure you put the labels in your printer so they print on the white side, not the backing)
  3. Carefully cut them out

They're super easy and they make a great gift. If you do make them, I'd love to see how they turned out or a pic of your little one wearing them! Just tag me on Instagram, @KKuss or use the hashtag #MeanRightHook
